Today we are going to make these cute scrapbook paper Christmas trees. They are a great project to do with your kids. Start by collecting a bunch of double sided paper. I cut mine into 1 1/2 inch strips, 1 inch strips, and then 3/4 inch strips. They are all 3 inches long.
The paper cones are from Michael's. I painted them with Martha Stewart paint before I started the project. I love that color.
Wrap each of your strips around a pencil or a paint brush handle to make them curl up at the edges. This part is great for kids. (Thanks Olivia!)
Start gluing your strips on your tree, largest at the bottom to thinnest at the top. Hot glue worked best. (Not a kid job)
When I got to the top I filled in empty spots with extra strips so the trees looked nice and full.
I added a little bit of glittery sparkle snow to the paper branches.
I made a heart for the top out of red and white striped pipe cleaners.
They look great sitting on a little pedastal or container.
