It's day 4 of creative inspiration yarn week... and we're talking mittens today. About a month ago I announced that I would handknit a pair of mittens for one reader when I hit 10,000 page views. Well, guess what... I made it. Do you want to win? All you need to do is become a follower of vintage umbrella. Leave me a comment telling me what colors you would like. I will choose the pattern. Give me a couple weeks and you will have mittens waiting at your mailbox! I'll announce the winner in a couple days!
These are some of the mittens I've knit this year. I have a favorite formula for mittens that I would be glad to share with you if you email me. I don't really use a pattern anymore...
They are wonderful for using up scraps of yarn. And such a good gift... who wouldn't use them.
Sometimes I get tired of them and don't want to finish the second one... but I always do!
Come back tomorrow when I show you how to make yarn pompoms!
I can't believe how far you have come, did you ever really need me to teach you how to knit. Those mittens are adorable!!!!!!!
