Hat and Mitten Advent Calendar

Today is day 5 of the 31 day blogging challenge.  You can find other wonderful sites here...http://www.thenester.com/2011/09/31-days-participants.html  I am having so much fun visiting so many different sites.  There are a lot of creative people in this world!
Don't forget to become a follower on my site... just follow the prompts... it is easy.  When you become a follower you will be able to leave comments and you will be eligible to win a pair of handknit mittens by me!  Become a follower, leave a comment if you would like and I will announce the winner next week!
This is my hat and mitten advent calendar... I bought it when my favorite little yarn store went out of business.  They sold it for (gasp) $15!  I hang it up on my mantle every year.

This year I decided that I needed to make two advent calendars... for my little nieces and nephews.
I started knitting these cute little hats and mittens in March when we drove to California for spring break.  Of course, I petered out on the project and haven't finished.  Well this week, I'm visiting one set of those little nieces and nephews in Texas so I had a little motivation to get it done.

It's like a little elf hat store around here...

Their mommies can fill them with all sorts of cute little things.  I'm going to hang them onto the cord with little clothespins with number tags.  Those definitely aren't done yet.

If you want to take on this crazy project, you will find the pattern here...http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/adventskalendar

Have a wonderful day.  xoxo  Jenni
