When I went up North for a crafting weekend with my girlfriends, I found these white cardboard suitcases at a craft store. They were begging to be modpodged.
I had a really cute pad of paper from October afternoon that I was dying to use...
I cut the pieces to fit and just kept mod podging...
Hi Jenni, love how this suitcase turned out. That paper is too cute. I can see why you were dying to use it. I am going to keep my eyes out for a case like this. It would be such a fun project.
I have been planning on doing this with a card board case that I picked up. I will be putting crafty stuff (beads, pipe cleaners, etc) in it and it will be a birthday present for my daughter. I was planning on covering mine with fabric, but I think I like yours with the October Afternoon paper better!
I found you via craft gossip & had to tell you how darling your suit case is. I am dieing to try this myself. I would LOVE to find a cardboard suitcase at a reasonable price!
Love it!!! I have one like that that someone else has done, it's not so pretty :) and I want to spray paint the whole thing ... and I've been inspired by you to do something similar. Thanks for sharing! Hugs ~ Mary P.S. Love your new "Happy" blog design - yay!
These suitcases are SUPER cute! I LOVE how you have used pieces of paper to create the patchwork.. I love it! I hope it's okay, I just finished a paper crafts round-up showing ways to use decorative paper for home decor and just couldn't help but feature your cute paper covered suitcases. So pretty! Love your style!

ReplyDeleteThese cases are awesome. Now I need to find me an old case to mod podge. These are so useful, too!
ReplyDeleteI've had a case for years and just found it again. I plan on Mod Podge Christmas cards all over it and leave it open with greenery, decorations, etc.
