collage picture frame

Today's project is my favorite kind... I didn't go to the store to buy anything to complete it.  I had an old shadow box that has been sitting around... I am always looking for frames at garage sales... they are so cheap and have so much crafting potential.

This shadow box came with a white mat... I cut up scraps of scrapbook paper and glued them onto the mat.

I love the chevron and the polka dot... both from October Afternoon. http://octoberafternoon.typepad.com/  The stickers are October Afternoon too.

I bought the Jolee's stickers http://jolees.eksuccessbrands.com/dept/French+General.aspx at Michael's when they were 40% off.  They were expensive but absolutely gorgeous.  I've been saving them for a special project.

I covered a piece of cardboard with burlap and some scrapbook paper.  Next I arranged the little button cards underneath the picture.  I wish you could see them in person... they are so beautiful.

I love everything about it.  I could do my whole house in these colors!

Here is one of the models, my youngest Isabelle.

  1. Good heavens woman! No wonder you can come up with an adorable inspiration for us every day! You're up till 4 o'clock in the morning! This is adorable! The button display is the perfect 'cherry on top' errr underneath. You have done your house in those colors, haven't you!?

  6. this turned out so adorable - an I was surprised to see at the end of the posting that the frame was larger than I had orginally thought - love it, especially with all the buttons you used as embellishments! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
