tissue paper/contact paper projects

Yesterday on Fox 9 I shared a recipe for homemade playdough, and demonstrated how to use contact paper and tissue paper to make amazing art projects for kids.  Would you like to watch my segment?  Check it out here... http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/story/22610987/crafting-tricks-homemade-play-doh

Contact paper is around $5 a roll at Target.  Cut a piece off the roll and fold it in half.  Tell your child to only place their tissue paper pieces on the right side of the fold.  For preschoolers, you have to guide them as they do this.

We made these at preschool this spring... it sure looks grey in the background!

I bought these tissue paper squares already cut at Joann's.  You can make any kind of pattern or design with them...

These ladybug projects were made with polka dot tissue paper from Target.  We used circle punches for the dots.

Last of all, feathers and tissue paper...

Little girls will love this one.  The bag of feathers came from Michael's.  What are you crafting with your kids this summer?
