Recover a lampshade

Hi everyone!  For the next 2 days we are going to be recovering lampshades.  I've always wanted to try it... devoted an entire pinterest board to it as a matter of fact...http://pinterest.com/jenni_swenson1/diy-lampshades/
I found these 2 lampshades at goodwill for a couple of dollars.  I didn't realize it at the time, but it is a great idea to do 2 at once... you use your first piece of fabric as your template!

Start at the seam line on your lampshade and roll it on your fabric, marking a line as you roll.  Do this for your top and bottom and you will have the shape of your shade.  Cut it out on the chalk line.

In the picture above, I am using my first piece as a pattern for the 2nd!

You will need spray adhesive for this project... line your fabric up with the seam line, spray the shade and press the fabric on.

Now for the fun part... add trim to the top and bottom to cover your raw edges.  I couldn't love this little lampshade any more!
Come back tomorrow for a couple more lampshade projects.  (I'm obsessed.)
