Bird collage

A few years ago, my husband's brother Jim passed away.  When we cleaned out his apartment, I found this bird portrait book.  It has beautiful illustrations and reminds me of his love for all things winged and feathered!

I started this project with a package of 2 artist canvases from Michael's.  I painted them this glorious shade of Martha Stewart yellow.  I have used this color in both my houses and I absolutely love it.  As a matter of fact, all the colors you see below are colors I use regularly when decorating.

I laid out the bird pictures and this Teresa Collins http://teresacollins.typepad.com/teresa_collins/ paper.

I blew through a lot of mod podge for the projects this week.  I know you can make your own, but I swear by the real thing.  Here are the collages, displayed with the little green trays.

Have a delightful day! xoxo  Jenni
