matryoshka thank-you notes

A couple days after Christmas I got to spend the day at Archiver's with my friend Colleen and my new friend Lisa.  Lisa is a preschool teacher and brought an adorable pair of elves for us to make....

We cut and glued to our heart's content.  I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon with friends!  While we were there, I drew this pattern for the matryoshka card.

Next I cut them out on colored cardstock and punched out some different sized circles for their faces.

Using copic markers I colored each face.  Then I cut out tops and bottoms in contrasting papers for the dolls.  These papers are all from October Afternoon.  http://octoberafternoon.typepad.com/

I had a wonderful day and I ended up with a bunch of cute cards!  You can't ask for anything more!

  1. Really nice idea! I love these dolls :P
Feel free to submit this to my link party, would love to share it with more people!

  2. Dawww. This is CUTE! I actually think this would be REALLY adorable as a card if you actually made the dolls look like family members. :) You could have the smaller dolls be the kids and the taller ones be the mom and dad, all dressed up in matryoshka dress! ^__^ How cute would that be?

  3. Really cute stacking dolls cards. Love them. Thanks for sharing this neat idea. PS: sounds like a super fun day!

  4. Nice to be visiting your blog again, it has been weeks for me. Well, this is the article that I’ve been waited for so long. Thanks, great share.long. Thanks, great share.
