Hello crafty friends! Are you scrambling around pulling together your valentines? Today I'm going to show you how I used some unconventional colors to put together some really cute little valentine packages.
When I saw the colored striped straw packages at Michael's I knew I wanted to give them to my friends for valentine's day. I just love to drink out of striped straws. They are in the dollar section at Michael's.
There is a new line of small cards, washi tape and glassine bags at Michael's too. I loved the orange polka dot. Chicklets fit perfectly inside. Did you like Chicklets when you were a kid?
Next I used my large heart punch to punch out a bunch of hearts. I glued some on the top of the straw packages, and added some to the green and white chevron mini cards I bought at Michael's.
Last of all I made some tiny clothespins to attach the cards.
I tied the whole package together with a little ribbon. Cute and inexpensive! If you like stripes and polka dots together check out my pinterest page http://pinterest.com/jenni_swenson1/stripes-and-polka-dots/
More eye candy...yum!
