It's snowman week! I like to keep some of my snowmen up after Christmas. In Minnesota, January is prime snowman making time. We've been doing lots of snowmen activities at preschool.
Remember these snowman ornaments? They would be cute January decorations. http://jennicanknit.blogspot.com/2012/12/snowman-wreath.html
It was a really cold weekend in Minnesota but we didn't get much snow. I love snowy days so I'm hoping we get some this week. I put up a bulletin board on the progression of making a snowman. Snowmen are about the easiest art project you could ever do with your kids.
I even brought snow inside and let the kids make snowmen on a tray. I found the idea here... http://www.teachpreschool.org/2013/01/snowman-sensory-puzzle/
I covered the picture with clear contact paper.
The kids couldn't believe they could play with snow inside. They loved piling it up and moving it around.
It was also fun to see what happened when it melted! Come back tomorrow for some more cute snowman ideas. I've collected lots of ideas on my pinterest board as well... http://pinterest.com/jenni_swenson1/snowmen/
So so cute! Love them all. You should link these up this week on The CSI Project. The challenge is winter crafts and decor. Right now our server is down but check back soon. The link up begins Thursday.
