Hello friends... today's ornament is a little felt bird. If you love birds, check out my pinterest board here...http://pinterest.com/jenni_swenson1/a-little-bird-told-me/ It's so simple to make... all you need is some felt, embroidery floss, needles and a little stuffing.
I think felt is my favorite kind of material for Christmas ornaments. If you can draw simple shapes, you can make just about anything. I drew a simple bird pattern, with a little tummy and a wing. I cut a front and back out for each bird. Start sewing the 2 pieces together with embroidery floss.
I sewed the wings together seperately to give the birdies a little dimension.
I hand sewed ribbon to the tail, and hot glued the wings on.
Before they are completely sewn up, I stuff them with a fine layer of stuffing.
A little bird told me there will be another ornament tomorrow... hope you will come back!
Your posts always make me smile, I love your color combination. I am going to use a bird shape on potholders this year.
