Mommy and baby owl

Welcome back... it's day 4 of the handmade ornament countdown.  Today's project is mommy and baby owls.  A perfect little ornament for a brand new baby!  I will be on fox 9 this Saturday, sharing this ornament and more at 8:25.  If you live in the Minneapolis area, I hope you will tune in!  I drew a pattern for my owls after getting inspired on my pinterest board http://pinterest.com/jenni_swenson1/hoot-hoot/

I cut the pieces out of felt...

I sewed them together using embroidery floss...

I love the babies!

I glued the baby to the mama...

and added a pair of wings so they could hug!

I hope you will join me for another cute ornament tomorrow.  If you would like to see last year's owl ornaments, here is a link http://jennicanknit.blogspot.com/2011/11/santa-owl.html
