gingerbread ornament

Today's ornament is a cookie without the calories.  I bought these gingerbread men at Michael's for around a dollar each.  This project would be a great one to do with kids.  You will need red and white pipe cleaners, ricrac, pompoms and buttons.

I twisted the red and white pipe cleaner together to make a candy cane.

Glue ricrac to the arms and legs of the gingerbread man.  If you are making this with kids, you can use regular old elmer's glue.

Next add pompom buttons...

and a candy cane made out of pipe cleaners.

Finish these cute little guys off with a ribbon bow tie, button eyes and a pipe cleaner mouth.  Wouldn't they be cute on top of a plate of gingerbread cookies?!
