Boo!

 It's trick or treat day!  We are having a Where the Wild Things Are party at school today.  There will be many wild things attending.  It will be wonderful.

I have always been such a holiday person.  I love the changing seasons and the traditions we observe each holiday.

This year, my daughters will be handing out the Halloween candy at our house.   I will be with my husband moving his mother to her new apartment.  She has lived in her home for 50 years.  We have celebrated many holidays and family milestones at that house.  Many little trick or treaters have come to her door.

 It is a bittersweet time for all of us.    I have experienced so many of these kinds of changes in the past few years.  I wish I could say it was easier now but it isn't...

so while I'm a little sad today, I'm going to enjoy Halloween.  That's what life is all about, right?  The happy moments and the sad ones too.
