School bus scrapbook

When my kids were little I scrapbooked like a crazy person.  I was a member of the Paper Cuts design team and had lots of pages published in that magazine... I don't think they are around any more.  I also taught lots of classes at Archiver's.  As a matter of fact, I was employee #13 at that company!  I quit when my husband started traveling for work, but I really loved the time I was there.  Recently, I bought the school bus album set from their store.  It came with everything you need to complete a cute album in the shape of a bus.

My nephew Mason just started kindergarten... he is 2 doors down from my preschool classroom.  I wanted to make him a book to help him remember his first year of school.  This album kit was a perfect choice... I finished it in just a couple hours.  His mommy will have to add most of the pictures later.

I made a page with a pocket so they could add examples of his work...

I added a few pictures and embellishments...

some examples of his artwork... what is cuter than a 5 year old drawings?!

Even a little paper sack to keep special things in.

Last of all, I added the ribbon that came with the kit to the rings that hold the book together.  What a fun, rewarding project.  I can't wait to see his face when I give it to him!
