paper mache apples

I love today's project.  It's a reminder that simple projects are sometimes the very best!  Remember, it's apple week?  Today's project is a fabric covered paper mache apple.  I bought them at Michael's for $1.  They had other fruit too.

I had seen sewn apples in Mollie Makes last fall, but I wanted to make an easier version.
I cut a bunch of red patterned scraps into small pieces and got the mod podge out.

Cover the apple in mod podge and attach the fabric.  Unlike paper, you can easily mold the fabric around the apple.  Keep adding the fabric until it is covered.

I added little green felt leaves and they are done!
