Alphababies

I made these little felt babies with preschoolers in mind.  Preschoolers love to carry around small things.  They also love to cover things up!    I know primary kids would love them too.  If you don't want to sew them together, use tacky glue.  You could also make them out of cardstock.
I cut out and sewed together a baby for each letter of the alphabet.  I know some of you are rolling your eyes.  Sometimes I can't stop myself.  Ha!
Notice I sewed a little yarn hair to each baby's head.

I also cut out a coordinating felt blanket to match each baby.  Next I used a black slick writer paint pen to draw the letters and facial features on the babies.

When I use these with my preschoolers I hand them each a couple blankets and tell them we are going to cover up the babies.  It's a color matching game and an alphabet matching game too!

They get sorted, covered, piled up, played with...

Feel free to pin these alphababies!  Come back tomorrow for more alphabet fun!

  1. These are stinkin' adorable! I might make some with upper and lower case letters for my daughter to match. Thanks for the inspiration!
