It's owl week this week! I just love owls, I've been collecting them for a long time! For today's project, I'm making an owl pillow to match Hannah's college quilt.
I gathered up a bunch of scraps left from her quilt, and some felt.
Luckily, I had some strips sewn together already. I sewed them in rows to cover the 18 inch pillow form that I had.
Next, I cut a felt face out. Before I started to sew it on, I pinned all the pieces on the fabric.
I used a zigzag stitch to add the pieces to the pillow. I added some turquoise ric rac to the edges... and I was done.
It was a perfect match in her dorm room! Come back tomorrow for another owl project!
How cute! And how coincidental! Ever hear of Tag Tuesday? This week's theme is "owls!" Peek at my blog-- I have an owl post today too!
