Apple Crafts

Don't you just love fall?!  Yesterday was a gorgeous day... the leaves are just starting to turn, the sun was out... you couldn't ask for more?
I love the book Ten Red Apples by Pat Hutchins.  It has folksy illustrations and a good tag line that kids will love to repeat.  We made apple trees by painting green leaves on brown construction paper trunks.  Each preschooler glued on ten red "apples" (red punched circles) to their tree.

To make these apple collages I printed out paper from kitschy digitals http://kitschydigitals.com/Calico-Dream-Digital-Kit.html  I cut the pieces into squares and the preschoolers glued them on.  The paper makes this project!

Last of all, we fingerpainted apple shapes and leaves.  So simple and cheerful.  Love the colors too.
What fall crafts are you working on?
