plastic jumbo fish

Hello crafty friends!  Did you see my fish segment on Fox 9 yesterday?  Here is the link if you would like to watch it... http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/story/22957320/summer-catch-fishy-art-projects
I got 2 emails yesterday asking me where my skirt was from... Talbots!  The darling little floating fish I showed are from Lakeshore.  Find them here... http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/product/productDet.jsp?productItemID=1%2C689%2C949%2C371%2C917%2C809&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395181113&bmUID=1375163362759
I absolutely love today's project.  When I taught 3rd grade years ago, we used to make something like this.  You will need painter's plastic from Home Depot.  A small roll is around $5.  Decide how big you want your fish to be.  Cut out 2 pieces of the plastic.  Draw your fish with a jumbo black sharpie.  When it has dried,  trace it so you have the black lines on each piece of your plastic.

Tape the 2 pieces together using double stick tape or glue dots.  Leave a hole to stuff your fish with tissue paper.

Crumple up pieces of tissue paper and stuff them inside your fish.

Add a string and hang it!
