magnetic tag ornament

Today is day 9 of my Christmas ornament series.  Have you been out shopping yet?  I was in Macy's 2 days after Halloween and heard Christmas music blaring.  Those poor clerks!  Today's ornament is so much fun.  I started with some magnetic tags that I found at Crafts Direct.  I'm guessing you could also find these online.

I modpodged them with red patterned paper.

I added a pipe cleaner, jingle bells and a few little berries to the top of each tag.

The magnets are made with glass gems, with crystal effects on the back.  Punch out a 1 inch circle and add it to the back.  Let it dry and glue a hot glue a magnet to the back.

You could add a little message under the magnets.  The recipients can take the magnets off and use them on any magnetic surface.  I will be sharing this idea, and more on fox 9 tomorrow morning at 8:15 a.m.  If you live in the twin cities, I hope you will tune in!
