matryoshka thank-you notes

A couple days after Christmas I got to spend the day at Archiver's with my friend Colleen and my new friend Lisa.  Lisa is a preschool teacher and brought an adorable pair of elves for us to make....

We cut and glued to our heart's content.  I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon with friends!  While we were there, I drew this pattern for the matryoshka card.

Next I cut them out on colored cardstock and punched out some different sized circles for their faces.

Using copic markers I colored each face.  Then I cut out tops and bottoms in contrasting papers for the dolls.  These papers are all from October Afternoon.  http://octoberafternoon.typepad.com/

I had a wonderful day and I ended up with a bunch of cute cards!  You can't ask for anything more!

  2. Dawww. This is CUTE! I actually think this would be REALLY adorable as a card if you actually made the dolls look like family members. :) You could have the smaller dolls be the kids and the taller ones be the mom and dad, all dressed up in matryoshka dress! ^__^ How cute would that be?
