Be MiNE hat... free pattern

Happy Friday everyone... how do you like my new blog design?  My friend Happy Harris...http://www.happylovesrosie.com/  designed it.  I can't say enough nice things about her.  Her blog is full of all kinds of adorableness!

This little hat is my valentine to all my knitting friends.  It is super easy... you can knit it up in a night or two.  The fun part about it is adding the felt hearts.  Cut them out and add them with a running stitch using embroidery floss.

The pom pom is attached to an i cord at the top.  A cute, whimsical detail!

Be Mine Hat
This is a fun and easy hat to knit that features stripes and appliqued hearts.  This size is for an adult, if you want to make it for kids use my striped sock monkey hat pattern.

When you are finished, pick up 3 stitches and knit 4 inches of icord on the top of the hat.  Add a pom pom with coordinating colored yarn.
For the appliqued hearts:  cut out 5 or 7 hearts of different sizes out of felt.  Hand applique each on the hat using dmc floss and a running stitch.
Give to your favorite valentine or wear it yourself!
