pipe cleaner ornaments

Today I'm going to show you how to make little pipe cleaner doll ornaments.  I loooooove these so much!

First you bend a pipe cleaner in half.  Cut it in half, bend one for the legs, the other for the arms.
The head is a little wooden bead, I drew the face on with sharpie and painted the hair.

Next tie a piece of baker's twine in the middle and pull through the hole.

Now you have your little doll... ready to decorate.  I used bits of trim that I already had.  You can also make little felt clothes for them.

Aren't they cute together?  It reminds me of something my grandma might have made.  I used a hot glue gun to attach the embellishments.

I bought these cute little circle tins at Michael's to use as packaging.  I cut out 2 circles for the top, added a few flowers...

and they are all set to be given as a gift.

Tomorrow I will be showing you a felt nesting doll... make sure you come back and visit!
