newspaper flowers

Today I'm going to show you how to make flowers out of an old book.  I found this book for $1 at Goodwill.  I love old textbooks.  This one didn't have great illustrations so I felt fine about ripping it apart.  I used my petal die cut for this project.  You could also cut the petals freehand.

Once you have a bunch of petals cut you need a base to glue them on.  I used a punched circle.  Just start gluing the petals around the edge.

I finished mine off with a little felt circle.  A button would be cute too.

Next, fluff up those petals.  I curled them around a pencil.

I got my inspiration from these at Junk Market.  I love the huge ones.  Have a great day!
