Nesting doll footstool

Have I mentioned lately how handy my husband is?  When I can talk him into it, he is a great project partner.  Last weekend I was in my basement (looks like a hoarder's episode) when I spotted an old broken footstool.  I decided that I must paint and recover it IMMEDIATELY, and no later.

"But we don't need another footstool, Jenni" said Bob in his best common sense tone.  I had that old fabric ripped off before he could protest.

He fixed the broken leg, screwed the legs off and spray painted them red.  They turned out kind of rosy red because of the color underneath.

Aren't those legs cute?

Next we layed the top of the ottoman on the wrong side of the fabric...

and stapled it down.

I've mentioned how much I love nesting dolls before.  I bought this fabric at CRAFTY PLANET in Minneapolis.  Definitely worth a trip.

Before I knew it my little ottoman was done... perfection!
